SIHF Healthcare in Olney, Ill. Celebrates National Health Center Week
SIHF Healthcare is celebrating National Health Center Week 2017 (NHCW), August 13-19, with public health screenings across southern Illinois and charity donation drives at its more than 30 health centers.
What began as a pilot project during President Lyndon Johnson’s War on Poverty in 1965, today’s community health centers serve more than 23 million people nationwide, many of whom are uninsured or underinsured. As the second largest Federally Qualified Health Center network in Illinois, SIHF Healthcare operates more than 30 health centers in the region. Offering Dental Care, Behavioral Health and Pediatrics, as well as Internal Medicine and OB/GYN services all at one convenient location, SIHF Healthcare in Olney is a prime example of the quality, integrated care that SIHF Healthcare offers to communities throughout Southern Illinois. In recognition of NHCW, SIHF Healthcare in Olney is accepting donations for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Richland County located at 801 S West St., Suite 117 in Olney, Illinois. This non-profit organization provides children facing adversity with strong and enduring one-on-one relationships that change their lives for the better.
