Victim Assistance Program
If you are an individual who has dealt with or is currently dealing with violence in your home or in your community, you may feel alone. It is important to know that you are not.
With the Victims Assistance Program at SIHF Healthcare, you have a team of advocates on your side that are here to provide you with a helping hand, no matter the issues you face. We can connect you to the healthcare services and support programs you need to receive the healing you deserve.
Since 2005, the Victims Assistance Program has provided individuals with counseling and support services on-site at our health centers. Clients can meet with their advocates safely and privately during medical appointments at SIHF or anytime by contacting our office at 618-646-2502.
Victims Assistance advocates provide a full range of counseling services, including:
- Connecting clients to physical and mental health services
- Referrals to social service agencies and shelters
- Support during court appearances and legal proceedings
Providing Support Community Wide
Our Victims Assistance Program also serves any individual in the Metro East who has been impacted by crime. Through the Illinois Crime Victim Compensation Program, individuals who have suffered from violent crime may be eligible to receive financial assistance with medical bills, home repair, loss of wages, and other expenses. Victims Assistance advocates provide individuals with the support to seek healing, connecting them to mental health services and counseling through the SIHF Healthcare network.
You are never alone. Support is just a phone call away. To learn more about this program, please call 618-646-2502.
